Build

The GB7C Garth Brooks is part of Pro Series which aims at combining modern woodworking techniques with well-seasoned woods to create exceptional quality guitars with astounding sound. This is a steel string dreadnought style model with solid cedar top and guitar silhouette soundhole. The solid rosewood back and rosewood side, together, provide great volume and tone. Although the side is not solid rosewood it definitely does not ruin the sound. The neck is mahogany that is joined to the body with traditional dovetail joint which provides the sturdiness and rigidity. Overall, this is an amazing model for any style of playing, especially great for strumming or fingerpicking.

Hardware

Takamine has equipped this model with rosewood bridge and fingerboard. This is a great model to gigging and recording not just because of the construction and tonewood but also because it comes with Palatheic pickup located under the saddle and CT-4BII preamp that help fine tune your guitar. As a nice bonus you get a great, sturdy case to keep your instrument and accessories safe from any accidents or weather/humidity changes.

Sound

The solid top and mahogany neck create balanced warm tone with powerful sound while the rosewood back and sides give add acoustic, deep tone to it. The dreadnoughts are known for having great volume and projection and this baby definitely does not disappoint in that aspect (or any other).
